What makes you great at what you do?
I have been very fortunate to have been involved in a profession where I considered the work I perform as being an extension of my hobby and interest. From a very young age I have always been fascinated with technology. Starting from building my first radio scanner through to now building complex hosted core infrastructure solutions. I personally believe my knowledge in the ICT industry is reasonably good and robust based upon having a clear understanding of the principles and the building blocks of network infrastructures. And then by enabling that base to have the elasticity to incorporate emerging and leading edge technologies we are able to provide our clients with bespoke and well-designed solutions. In regards to considering myself as great, it is all of the above but includes having a great team at all levels which makes the company great as opposed to the individual.
What best describes MIT?
MIT is a solutions based technology company implementing bespoke client specific infrastructure solutions based upon best breed and industry standard solutions. We are a group of highly professional and dedicated staff who look at the business requirements and process and base the infrastructure design around the client’s objective.
Why would you recommend MIT as an IT provider?
We understand the importance of business process and key business requirements. Our purpose is to provide a solution that meets the objectives and expectations of the client, is reasonable and realistic in cost to implement and which is based on best practice and industry standards. Our solutions are not agnostic to a specific vendor but are open to variations providing the solution meets the clients underlying business objective whilst not diminishing the infrastructures integrity.
How does MIT help you develop professionally?
A classroom only gives you a foundation from which you will build your career. Whereas development only starts when you are working within the “cold face” of the industry as every day poses a new set of challenges. It is about defying the challenge and finding a suitable solution. Because the engineering team work closely together the environment surrounding the numerous challenges encountered are able to be shared by the group providing additional support as and when required. This in turn provides a supportive environment whilst also defining best practice and industry standard.
What do you enjoy doing when not working?
I am a person who is always busy. There is always something to repair or build, gardening to be completed, family things that need to be done, sports, club associates to attend, etc. It is never a dull moment for myself with something on the go all the time.

Approachable + Understanding – As a company we pride ourselves as being very approachable when discussing solutions. In addition, we will always look to help disseminate any technical information if requested so as the client can make the most informed decision around the technology being recommended. Vendor Centric – We do have partnerships with some of the major vendors such as Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Trend Micro, Storage Craft, etc., but we are also very flexible in regards to using other vendor solutions if it is deemed as being more beneficial for the requirement and/or if directed by the client. Our underlying purpose as a business is to provide a suitable solution that the client is satisfied with.
